Montpellier: a Clear Incentive

Relocation and development projects in France are frequently eligible for grants and other financial incentives from both local and national sources. All assistance is subject to limits set by the European Commission but Montpellier benefits from one of the highest ceilings for France imposed by the EC.

Assistance takes a wide variety of forms depending on type of activity and the type and number of jobs created but can include: straight cash grants based on the number of permanent jobs created exemption from certain taxes and charges for a fixed period contribution towards training costs and towards the salaries of staff undergoing a specific training programme contributions and tax credits towards high-technology R&D projects.
